Lyric Choir for Singers with Mixed Abilities

Approximate Ages: 8-13

Children with different abilities (special needs) who love to sing are invited to join the Notre Dame Lyric Choir. The choir focuses on singing and experiencing sacred music in a welcoming choral community, musical instruction specifically geared to meet the abilities of students with physical, social, emotional, and/or intellectual challenges.

With an inclusive focus, children with “special needs” will sing alongside invited choir members from the Chamber and Seraphim Choirs.  This new choir is respectful and sensitive to the individual needs of the members of the choir with respect to intellectual development, communication abilities, spatial needs, and developmental diversities.  This choir is not performance oriented. Performances will be scheduled as appropriate in non-pressure community environments.

Rehearsals: TBA at Sunnyside Presbyterian Church
