Organ
The mission of the Organ Training Program is to create a new generation of organists and church musicians.
We offer assistance in connecting to Sacred Music graduate organ students for piano and organ instruction to children ages five through 17. Students may request weekly 30-minute private lessons from masters and doctoral students studying at the University of Notre Dame. At the end of the year students perform recitals for family and friends in a spring recital.
Before studying organ and learning to negotiate hand and pedal technique, all students learn the fundamentals of reading music and keyboard skills. While lessons for students of all levels are available, students with two or more years of piano lessons are given priority.
