New release of Christmas Album

Author: Mark Doerries

We are pleased to announce the release of our newest Christmas album, A Ceremony of Carols: Christmas with the Notre Dame Children's Choir! Recorded in June of 2021 in Reyes Choral and Organ Hall of Notre Dame's DeBartolo Performing Arts Center, the album includes Benjamin Britten's A Ceremony of Carols as well as classical carols such as Bring a Torch, Jeanette, Isabella, Sussex Carol, Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day, Silent Night, and more. Recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic, the choir wore masks, physically distanced themselves in the hall, and took frequent breaks for room ventilation.

The Notre Dame Children's Choir's Liturgical Choir is joined by Dr. Heaven Fan, Harp; Trevis Young, Organ; is conducted by Dr. Mark Doerries, and was prepared by Sacred Music at Notre Dame graduate students and alumni Dallin Baldwin (DMA), Lorraine Mihaliak (MSM), and Jude Nwankwo (MSM).
